ANTE NATAL SERVICES
It may be that you have older children and are expecting twins or more or just havent been too well during your pregnancy,you may be confined to bed for medical reasons and therefore unable to look after yourself or your other children. In this case you will need special ante natal support. As your ante natal doula I will provide pregnancy support by assisting with mother/child care, light housekeeping, running short errands and preparing meals. If you are a first time Mum I would help you in your preparations for your newborn and give lots of practical tips .
As your antenatal doula I can also spend time listening and helping you deal with the additional fears associated with a high-risk pregnancy and possible outcomes.I will allow you to rest and prepare for the birth of your baby/babies and above all will help keep your family organised so that life can flow smoothly even if you are not feeling well.
Ante natal support can be booked anytime really but is usaually needed from 36 to 40 weeks for singletons and from 32 weeks for twins or more.The rates are the same as for post natal Doula support.
SIX WEEK ANTE NATAL COURSE

ONE TO ONE ANTE NATAL WORKSHOPS
This is the 6 week course condensed into 3 ,2 hourly sessions in your own home at a time to suit you.I realise that it is not always easy to attend a course which is on set evenings so these sessions are for busy couples who want to arrange their ante natal classes around their work schedule,and will be unique to each couple.

CORPORATE WORKSHOPS
These workshops are aimed at parents to be and new parents and are delivered in the workplace or at a time convenient to you, they can be any time in length from 30 to 40 minutes to 2 hours.
They are planned to meet the unique needs of your workforce but are aimed at both Mothers and Fathers.
They cover aspects of pregnancy, labour and birth as well caring for the newborn baby.
The workshops are delivered to a very high standard and come in line with Equality and Diversity policies in serving the needs of a changing workforce.

WHEN TO BOOK
Ideally the sooner the better as you will want to meet several birth Doulas before booking the one of your choice, you need to give yourself a comfortable amount of time to meet them and make a decision, bearing in mind that many birth doulas are booked up for 5 to 6 months ahead. Also you will need to fit in the two antenatal visits prior to the on call period. Once you have booked and paid your deposit you can be confident that you will have top priority on my time.
